Orientation is a great way to start university. You'll get important course information and meet other students at social events.

Student orientation
New student orientations for VU Brisbane in 2026 will be held face to face. You will receive an official Orientation Letter via email around 4 weeks before your session, containing all details you need.
Orientation is mandatory. It helps you understand your course, university expectations, compliance requirements, and the support services available to help you settle into life at VU Brisbane. All students on an International Student Visa (subclass 500) are strongly encouraged to attend the Student Orientation.

Time: 10am–1pm
During the session, you will meet other new students and receive important information about health and safety in Australia, as well as helpful tips for living and studying safely.
