Prospective employers in the industry seek graduates with strong project management skills to ensure that projects deliver specified outcomes and are both sustainable and profitable. This Project Management unit introduces students to a project management framework - the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®). Students will learn network planning with Gantt charts, resource allocation and scheduling techniques for executing engineering projects. The unit also addresses topics such as feasibility studies including economic feasibility and project evaluation, contract administration and tendering processes.
